As we all know, SEO is one of the greatest things you can do for your site and business. However, like all things in life, things must be done in moderation, and SEO is no different.
This concept doesn’t just go for on page, oh no, it is both on page and off page. Every element needs to be carried out in moderation. Remember the old saying ‘quality, not quantity’? Well SEO is one of those things where this old adage definitely needs to be considered.
The first and possibly the most common thing a lot of people don’t quite grasp is keyword management. Now it is important for keywords to be everywhere, even on images and other media. For titles and descriptions I recommend roughly 3 keywords in each. Additionally in the main part of the content, a good system is to try and integrate a keyword into your text every few sentences. It is crucial to get the right amount of keywords in, but then again you have to be extremely cautious of keyword stuffing. You may not realise you’re doing it but you need to limit yourself on how many keywords you put in, if you accidently, or purposely, keyword stuff, Google will eventually suss you out and black list you. This is purely because it is against their guidelines and is classed as black hat SEO, an unethical way of achieving higher SERPs. Alternatively you need to make sure you are putting enough keywords in. It is easy to simply forget about them, and just write content with no keywords. When writing the content for your site you it is essential you are conscious of the keywords you want to target and you need to push yourself into inserting them.
Off page, you need to be careful of the links that are running to and from your site. As you will know page links are a highly effective factor of SEO and it is, unquestionably, a mix of on page SEO and off page SEO that results in higher positions and overall better results.
With page links it is important to remember once again that quality is much more important than quantity, although if you can acquire a high amount of high quality links that’s great too. It is safe to say that one hundred links from a page with a page rank of one cannot compare to one page rank 10 link. So make sure your links are coming from a good source.
In conclusion it is deadly important to get the right balance of everything in the SEO world. You could end up at the bottom of the pile, the top of the tree or not even in the search listings at all. It is up to you to make it happen.

Beginner’s Guide to SEO -SEOmoz
Good place to start you path to successful SEO carrier.
I am going to explain you how buying an old domain in same niche effects our business and SEO.
What is the meaning of buying old domain in same niche?
Example: If you are going to host SEO service site, you are going to buy a domain which has hosted SEO services earlier.
I am going to take a real like example to discuss this.
Suppose there is a hotel name “ABC hotel” in our neighborhood. They have a very good reputation. They get large number of customers from different sources.
Here are some sales paths.
(A)They get sales from referral given from the neighborhood
(B)They get direct visits from previous customers.
(C)They get direct customers. (Some people visit by seen the company name board)
(D)Some customers visit because of the goodwill.
What will happen if you buy this hotel?
-C will not effect. We should have similar name board and hotel setting.
-A will effect. But we will still get large potion of A sales. Some people will not notice management change. Even they do, they will still come.
-B will effect. But we will still get large potion of C sales.
-D will have a small effect.
So we can see how we can benefit from buying an already established business.
If we apply the same theory to internet marketing;
-You will receive referral traffic from previous backlinks.
-You will receive retuning traffic
-Search engines will still offer you search ranking (Because of the goodwill) even you change contents to some extend.
Now we can clearly see that buying an old domain in same niche can give us numerous benefits.
But please remember to;
-Consider cost benefit
-Consider previous activities, good will, etc
I will explain this from a real life example.
Suppose there is a doctor living in San Diego. Once I saw his name as “DR. Jone Kelly” on a notice board. Now what do I feel when I see his name?
I strongly believe he is a doctor because of the word “DR” in his name.
Is it enough for me to confirm his as a doctor? No.
What are the other factors I need to confirm him as a doctor?
(A)What is his behavior?
Is he visiting the hospital?
Is he giving medicines?
Is he wearing doctor uniform?
Is he talking like a doctor?
Is the answer is yes to all question, I think he seems to be a doctor. But yet I have to know more.
(B) His popularity (How others know him?)
Is he known as a doctor?
How is his reputation as a doctor?
Is there anyone in my family or friendly have taken medicines from him?
If I get yes for all or some of the questions, I can confirm him as a doctor.
Suppose there is a person living in San Diego. His name is “DR. Paul”. He is not a doctor. “DR” stands for his surname. If I see his name on a bill board I will strongly believe him as a doctor. But when I consider other two aspects of his life, I will understand that he is not a doctor.
The same theory applies to SEO. Domain name is a strong factor to identify our website. Search engines and users will use our domain name to identify the nature of our business.
But they will further check on-page factors ((A) what is his behavior?)
and link popularity ((B) His popularity ) to identify our website.
Some webmasters totally forget about visitors when they do SEO.
I want to ask you a question. What should be your best target in terms of sales, search engines or visitors?
Why our website needs search engines?
Search engine helps us by bringing visitors to our site.
Who is a visitor?
Visitor is going to buy from our site.
If we place more focus on search engines, our visitors will no be delighted. If we place more focus on users, search engines will find it hard to locate and evaluate our site.
Nowadays search engines have evolved; they are trying to figure our how our website is worth for visitors. If we have everything for our users, search engines will happily give us a top rank.
What visitors are looking from our site, if we are offering product or service for sale ?
1. Visitor may want to know what products or services we are offering.
2. Visitors don’t want to spend too much time, they want quick facts.
3. Visitor will be delighted to know more resources to learn about product or service he/she is interested.
4. Sometime visitor might need more information about the product or service he/she is interested.
5. He wants to find information easily.
6. Visitor may want to know whether we are trust worthy.
7. Sometimes visitor will want to know our business location, contacts.
8. Visitor will want to verify whether we are delivering the promised product or service. They will look for referrals and
testimonials.
When are going to please our visitor we have to add quality contents, easy site navigation, resources, keywords, build links, etc, If we evaluate closely search engines also looking for same things to give us a top rank.
