SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEO is a practice of optimizing websites to get higher search engine ranking. Here we have to focus on various internal and external factors to help search engines to better understand our website.
Is SEO necessary?
Search engines are improving their technology day by day. They understand our websites better than earlier. But there are limitations. But there are no absolute ways to understand a website. Search engines will use comparative methods to evaluate a website (Eg: Your site popularity against competitor site). Even in future search engines will need SEO to get to know about a website.
Let me explain this with an example.
Suppose there is a doctor who has discovered a cure for cancer. If he living in a village how could other people know about him? He has to introduce his discovery to the world.
He has to publish books, do press conference, etc. If he did not involved in any kind of marketing he will not be able to build a market for this discovery.
Likewise, you may have the best site on the net selling the best product or service, but how can search engines know who you really are? They need facts to prove your site. So search engines will consider various factors, methods to identity your website. You have to advertise your site internally and externally to get the attention of search engines and users.
